PICC LEARNING COMMUNITIES
FALL 2025

Knowledge of God and His word are key parts of being a spiritually mature follower of Christ. PICC is offering a variety of communities that will focus on developing our understanding of God and His word.

SUNDAY  9:15am

1 Timothy

Where:  Chapel - 9:15am

Leader: David Rhodes (Pastor of Spiritual Formation PICC), John Pritchard (Bible Teacher)

What:  1 Timothy is a personal and passionate letter written by the Apostle Paul to one of his most loved converts: Timothy.  The letter is written to ensure Timothy knows “how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household -the church” (1 Timothy 315).  Today we often “do church” in whatever way most appeals to us.  This letter reminds us that although we have great freedom in Christ, there are some things that are essential for doing church God’s way.  We will find that doing church God’s way can both revitalize us and our church.

CONERSTONE -Building Lives and Families on Christ

Where:  Building H - 9:15am

Leaders:  Jim and Peg Morgan (Veteran adult ministries leaders)

What:  The heart and soul of our time together in Cornerstone will be the realization that the Bible is the greatest guide ever written for our marriages, parenting, careers, and lives.   Peg and Jim will be openly sharing the many lessons they have learned during their 50+ years together (most of which were learned the hard way). Our hope is that the class time will be filled with learning, laughter, and fellowship.  Ideally, the final result will be an increased desire to build every aspect of our lives biblically with Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone.

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”

Psalm 118:22 and I Peter 2:7(b)

STUDENT MINISTRIES (6th-12th Grade)

Where: Anchor/Anchor Conference Room - 9:15am

Leaders: Keith Spires, Miranda Hoggard

What: This Fall, we are revisiting and examining intriguing and sometimes funny stories, characters, & situations from the Bible that often get overlooked in our normal everyday Bible studies. This class is relaxed and discussion oriented. Please bring your Bible.

SUNDAYS  10:30am

Profiting from the Prophets- Nehemiah

Where:  Building H - 10:30am

Leader:  Lydia Barrows (Bible Teacher)

What: Nehemiah was serving in the king's court in Persia (modern day Iran) when he learned that his city of Jerusalem was still vulnerable since the walls of the city were not rebuilt after their destruction by the Babylonians over 100 years before. The king of Persia granted Nehemiah & others opportunity to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the walls amidst much opposition from others. Through the book of Nehemiah, we learn the importance of rebuilding our lives & rebuilding walls of protection (boundaries) whether it be physical, emotional or spiritual.  Nehemiah's example provides leadership principles for today in building lives & communities through dependence on God.
